SART begins second decade of service
St. Croix Valley SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) is a non-profit organization that provides free comprehensive services to victims of sexual assault. SART’s forensic nurse examiners and volunteer advocates assist and support victims from their initial examination following an assault through the prosecution of the suspect. Find out more….
The Office of Justice Assistance, along with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault, are conducting the Statewide Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Conference. Participants will learn best practices for responding as a SART team in their communities. The conference will be held at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells from September 27th-28th and many of the St. Croix Valley Sexual Assault Response Team’s (SART), staff, nurses and volunteers will be attending this fantastic learning opportunity. Two of the nation’s leading violence prevention experts—Hazelden & Break the Cycle have teamed up to create a new program called, “Respect Works.” Respect Works is an evidence and research-based program that addresses the issue of teen and young adult dating violence.
The St. Croix Valley Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), is committed to ending sexual violence and educating schools and groups alike toward that end. We are proud to announce that we have purchased the entire Respect Works programming for middle school through high school and into college levels and will begin offering this programming to schools throughout Pierce, St. Croix and Polk counties.
