Join our team and train to be a Forensic Nurse Examiner

Train as a Forensic Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and take care of survivor victims of sexual assault in Pierce, St. Croix and Polk Counties in Wisconsin. You must be able to respond to one of our care partner hospitals within 60 minutes. And you must be licensed to practice in Wisconsin.

The five-day seminar teaches RN’s the key components and skills necessary to provide effective healthcare and services to the adult and adolescent survivor victims of sexual assault. This course provides in-depth knowledge on the role of the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner),  including forensic evidence collection, documentation and testifying in court. Course material will also focus on the psychological dynamics of sexual assault, including care of both male and female survivor victims. Participants will learn how to collaborate with other key team members, i.e. advocates, crisis counselors, police and district attorneys.

Training is free!

Hours of on call: A minimum of 8 – 8 hour shifts per month including one weekend a month.

Occasional holidays.

Staff meetings: once a month 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Compensation: $250.00/client $3.00/hr on call.
