St. Croix Valley SART is excited to announce our participation in ‘Tracking Our Truth’! We recognize that interpersonal violence against women is higher among American Indian women than any other racially defined group. These new services that Tracking Our Truth offer will allow for more options provided to survivors of sexual assault through culturally-supportive, advocacy-focused medical care at non-system based locations. These private and welcoming community locations will be accessible to survivors without needing to involve hospitals or make a report. These new services in Northern Wisconsin will be provided through partnerships between culturally-specific advocates at Oakwood Haven and St. Croix Tribal Health & Human Services, Embrace and Forensic Nursing from St. Croix Valley Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and the University of Milwaukee-College of Nursing. Tracking Our Truth is an amazing benefit and opportunity to support and empower survivors in their healing journey allowing them to make the best choice for them in each moment.
